I’m a journalist and a short story writer from Brazil. I enjoy writing dramas and dramedies about the high stakes of daily life. Panic attacks, failed fertility treatments, single motherhood, and the comic misunderstandings caused by mistranslations are some of the themes I developed in my writing and that you can see in this website.

Many of my stories are derived from personal experience as a divorced mother of two amazing kids.

My son has a rare genetic condition (48XXYY). Being fluent in Portuguese and English, I noticed there was no information or creative work for 48XXYY available in Portuguese. I took it upon myself to found a website dedicated to translating and updating research on the condition.

I have also translated an American children’s story about a 48XXYY boy for Portuguese-speaking children.

A perfect day for me is going to the beach in the morning and watching a movie after lunch.
